McCutchanville Fire Ladies Auxiliary holding benefit rummage sale, station tours

The McCutchanville Fire Department will hold a rummage sale benefit for the Ladies Auxiliary this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Station 5 (9209 Petersburg Road).

Items in sale include:  Men's, Women's, Junior's, and Children's clothing Exercise equipment and sports equipment Furniture Home Decor Kitchen Gadgets Beauty Products Pampered Chef and much more.

The Ladies Auxiliary is an organization in place to offer support to County Fire Departments during structure fires and other involved/difficult runs.

Yard sale benefits student organization

Students enrolled in health sciences courses at the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation’s Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center will host a Yard Sale on Saturday, June 15, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center.

The yard sale will take place rain or shine and all proceeds will benefit the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA).

The Collectors Carnival Antiques & Collectibles Show  will be held at the Vanderburgh Co. 4-H Center with 100 dealers scheduled to set up.  Some booths will be inside 4-H Center enclosed buildings, while others will take up outside field spaces.  You'll find antiques and vintage collectibles from every era.

Trinity Lutheran hosting rummage sale

Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Darmstadt will be hosting its annual rummage sale on Friday, May 3 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 4 from 7 a.m. to noon in the school gym.

Items available include:  books of all kinds, jewelry, clothing, home furnishings, arts and crafts, tools and outdoor equipment and toys.

Trinity is located at 1401 W. Boonville-New Harmony Road.

It’s World Fair Trade Day at Old North United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 11.  Residents can stop by for lunch, fair trade shopping, coffee tasting, a silent auction, fair trade documentaries, music, and to learn more about the worldwide fair trade movement.

The Old North Fair Trade Market is a retail store specializing in fair trade certified housewares, jewelry, clothing, coffee, tea, and chocolate from around the world.

Maternity, kids consignment event this weekend at 4-H Center

 

The Go Bananas Spring/Summer Consignment Event is April 12 – 14 at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Center.  New and gently-used children’s and maternity items are offered at a fraction of retail cost by many participating families.The event features popular brands such as Gymboree, Baby Gap, Janie and Jack, Graco, Fisher Price, Pottery Barn Kids and many more. Shoppers can expect to find upscale spring and summer clothing (sizes newborn to 16), toys, baby gear, furniture, bedding, accessories, maternity items, and a variety of vendors from the Evansville area.

Admission is free. Sale hours are Saturday, April 13 from 10am – 6pm and Sunday, April 14 from 10am – 2pm.  Many items are half price on Sunday. Demand to shop early has led to the a Pre-Sale Event on Friday, April 12.  Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at (www.gobananasconsignment.com) for customers wanting to shop before the general public.

Food & Gifts Expo this weekend at Clarion benefits Food Bank

The 1st Annual Food and Gifts Expo is set for the Clarion Inn on US 41 North this Saturday and Sunday.

Shopping and gifts will be available all under one roof. 

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free but non-perishable food donations are requested as the Expo benefits the Tri State Food Bank.
