Girl raising money for new sheriff's K-9 gains more support
An eight-year-old girl continues her mission to raise money to replace a Vanderburgh Co. Sheriff's Office dog accidentally shot in the line of duty.
Valerie Shaffer is a second grader at Vogel Elementary School. She says after hearing about what happened to Trax, she wanted to do something to make a difference.
On Saturday, Valerie set up outside Rural King on Morgan Ave. and raised a pretty good sized chunk of change.
