Pick up truck pulled from Evansville lake | News
EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE)- UPDATE: A truck has just been pulled out of North Evansville lake.
Earlier Thursday afternoon, a driver trying to avoid a turning car, ended up sending his truck into that lake.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says, on Thursday afternoon it responded to the call of a submerged vehicle on Evansville's north side.
According to Sheriff Deputies the truck was headed south on Oak Hill road. The driver didn't see a car that had stopped to turn left until too late. While trying to avoid it, he lost control, went down a hill and into the small body of water.
Authorities say the driver, Stanley Turner, was able to get out of the vehicle and wasn't injured.
Ohio Valley Search and Rescue are assisting local police and fire officials.
