ZooFari Earth program brings exotic animals to the library

On Monday and Tuesday, June 13 and 14h, there will be some unique visitors at six EVPL locations.  At ZooFari Earth, a program by Animal Tales, customers will get an up-close look at six animals from six continents.  The program exhibits live birds, mammals, reptiles and other creatures from across the globe.

Lloyd, Garvin pools set to open; swimming lesson times set

Lloyd Pool’s summer season begins this Friday, May 27. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Family Night will be offered from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each Friday and Saturday.

Admission at Lloyd Pool is $3.00 for guests age 13 and older, $2.50 for ages 4 to 12, and free for age 3 and under. Admission to Family Night is only $7.00 for two adults and up to four children.

Local attorney becomes National Certified Guardian

The executive director of Guardianship Service of Southwestern Indiana, Inc., a non-profit guardianship provider has recently completed the process necessary to become a National Certified Guardian (NCG), making her the only certified Guardian in Vanderburgh County.

Guardians serve as representatives for persons rendered incapacitated through physical or mental disability.
