Two arrested in Evans Ave. meth bust

Two people were arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges they were making methamphetamine inside their North Evans Avenue home.

Evansville Police say motor patrol officers and meth suppression detectives stopped at 2513-B North Evans around 2:45 and immediately smelled an organic solvent.

The residents refused officers' requests to search the home.  After obtaining a search warrant, officers say they located 15 used syringes, two digital scales, paraphernalia and meth precursors.

Arrested were Tedi Long and Kenneth Viars, both 46.  They're facing meth making and related charges and are in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
