Stepto's Bar-B-Que Shack closes | Business
A fixture on Evansville's north side for eight years, Stepto's Bar-B-Q Shack and Catering Company closed its doors for good on Monday.
Owner Mike Stepto wrote on the business' Facebook page that the decision was difficult but the move was made because of new opportunities and "external factors" beyond his control.
Stepto's was located in the North Park area, behind Raben Tire and next door to CVS Pharmacy.
During the 2012 presidential race, the business hosted a campaign stop for Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
"I have met a lot of great people and been involved in a lot of great community events and fundraisers," Stepto stated. "Thank you for your patronage and loyalty."
