David and Dan Nix, owners of Evansville-area Pizza King Restaurants, announced today the closing of the location at 2411 N. Stringtown Road, Evansville. This location closed on Saturday, July 7, at the end of the business day.
David Nix said: “The sales volume at this location did not maintain our expectations. Our lease of the building is expiring, and it just makes sense to close now.”
“We have enjoyed our three years of operation at Stringtown and Diamond and gained many new customers and friends.”
“All other Pizza King locations are profitable and doing well. We are adding lunch deliveries at our two other Evansville locations, starting at 11:00 am and extending through closing time. We are also expanding our delivery areas for these two locations.”
The Nix brothers own and operate Western Ribeye and Ribs Restaurant on North Boeke Road in Evansville, and the following Pizza King locations:
- South Weinbach Avenue, south of Washington Avenue, Evansville
- North St. Joe Avenue, at Franklin Street, Evansville
- Lloyd Expressway at Highway 261, Newburgh
